As the Radiologic Technology Program Director, the role involves ensuring the effectiveness of program operations, overseeing ongoing accreditation and assessment processes, and maintaining compliance with JRCERT standards and SACSCOC principles. Responsibilities extend to participating in didactic and/or clinical instruction as needed, obtaining/retaining clinical sites, and staying updated on the professional discipline and educational methodologies. The Program Director assumes a leadership role in the ongoing development and evaluation of the program, focusing on student engagement, fostering learning, and modeling professionalism to produce competently trained individuals ready for professional careers.

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive lectures and laboratory sessions.
  • Unrestricted American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in radiography or the equivalent.
  • Unrestricted Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
  • Experience with JRCERT Accreditation standards and processes
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in regulatory and policy issues related to specified program(s)
  • Assure effective program operations.
  • Oversee ongoing program accreditation and assessment processes.
  • Participate in didactic and/or clinical instruction, as appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with JRCERT standards of accreditation and SACSCOC principles.
  • Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
  • Create engaging and effective teaching materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Foster a positive and interactive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Stay current with advancements in the field of Radiologic Technology to integrate relevant information into the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall academic experience and contribute to the continuous improvement of the program.
  • Monitoring progress/attendance, advising students, recording grades, and submitting reports.

Qualifications:

  • A master's or doctoral degree in Health Science, Radiologic Technology, or a related field.
  • Practical/Clinical experience in the professional discipline Licenses & Certifications (FL Lic Rad. Tech ARRT)
  • Previous teaching experience at the college level is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage students and facilitate active learning.
  • Commitment to staying abreast of developments in the field and integrating them into the curriculum.
