Physical Requirements
Dexterity, hand/eye coordination, and performing repetitive motion tasks in an office and/or laboratory environment. Risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job and exposure to Animal Pathological Specimens.
Shift
Monday–Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm; may require some evenings/weekends for deadlines and emergencies.
Job Summary
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food, and Environment, Equine Analytical Chemistry Lab seeks a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager. This state-of-the-art laboratory conducts testing to support drug and medication control programs that are critical to maintaining the health and welfare of both performance and racing horses. The QA/QC Manager plays a pivotal role in laboratory operations to ensure that the laboratory policies and procedures meet the highest standards. The individual in this role, working with the other senior staff and the Director, will develop, implement, and coordinate the QA/QC Program for the laboratory. Duties include auditing and reviewing laboratory generated data and records, developing training programs, and preparing reports and standard operating procedures.
This position is located at the Coldstream campus on Bull Lea Run off Newtown Pike.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience
Excellent MS Word, Excel, and database skills; excellent written and verbal communication. Safe sport certification preferred. Driver’s license preferred.
