Job Summary:
The Sr. Academic Operations Manager provides operational support and administrative services to ensure the operational efficiency of the School of Business and IT (SBIT). This role assumes a support role on matters relating to student, academic, and administrative support. The Sr. Academic Operations Manager collaborates with leadership on the development of strategies to enhance the value and cost-effectiveness of all outcomes within SBIT.   
 
What to expect in this role:

  • Plan and oversee strategic, operational, and administrative projects, and/or services of broad significance.
  • Manage all deliverables within his/her area of responsibility. Monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness of these projects.
  • Communicate with stakeholders throughout the company regarding project status, issues, and recommend options for keeping projects on track.
  • Identify, develop, implement, and work with student operations to communicate policy and procedures.
  • Educate and mentor staff to ensure communication strategies and communication implementations are best in class.
  • Liaison with all departments for the process, policy, and project development and execution.
  • Identify, design, and implement training programs for staff and administrators and deliver training sessions as needed.
  • Ensure that all levels of staff and other departments are aware of any changes that occur within and outside the department.
  • Educate and mentor staff to elevate the knowledge, ability, and efficiency of their project management skills.
  • Follow all processes and procedures as set for by servicing departments - technology, human resources,  legal, editorial, etc.
  • Offer strategic input and leadership within and outside of academic operations by serving on committees, task forces, etc
  • Identify, propose, and prioritize efficiencies and/or development needs.

Experience:
  • Master’s Degree in Business, IT, Education or related field.
  • At least 2 years of related experience in operations management, academic operations  or similar role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Familiarity with CRM systems (i.e. SalesForce); Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); BrightSpace, Adobe; Google Sites and Resources                    
  • Hardware, software development, and programming; systems analysis      
  • Has excellent group facilitation skills. 
  • Communicates well in writing and verbally.  
  • Exhibits solid organizational, time & task management skills and is able to effectively handle multiple situations while organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Ability to multitask, complete work in a timely manner with accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively across multiple levels of management and with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.  
  • Independent worker with little to no supervision, energetic and has a "can do" attitude.
  • Capability to maintain complete confidentiality with respect to all University matters and records.

 

Additional Information:  

  • The target salary for this position is $70,000-$74,000.
  • Purdue University Global will not sponsor employment authorization for this position.   
  • A background check will be required for employment in this position. 
  • FLSA: Exempt (Not Eligible For Overtime)
