Position Summary
Responsible for purchasing functions associated with real estate and its property management responsibilities, as well as maintaining appropriate inventory levels within the warehouse. Negotiates and secures pricing, receives incoming shipments of merchandise or other materials; verifies correctness of shipments against bills of lading, invoices, etc.; keep records of goods received; report damaged goods and shortages. Keep stock in orderly arrangement.
Utilize Yardi and Workday software to order, track, and maintain materials. Under the coordination of the Warehouse Manager, maintains appropriate controls to ensure accurate reporting, availability, and to mitigate inventory and material loss.
Completes purchase order processing and audit of all items received, works closely with the accounts payable coordinator in processing paperwork in a timely manner as well as communicating any problems that result in credits needing to be obtained by the vendors.
Responsible for the setup of new inventory items in the inventory system as well as updating the information in the costs of each item.


Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Order and receive parts and goods into inventory. Negotiate and secure pricing for materials.
  • Maintain warehouse in an orderly arrangement.
  • Review and process purchase orders, bills of lading and invoices.
  • Set up shipments with ground carriers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Yardi software.
  • Three to five years experience in a warehouse inventory environment.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communications skills and demonstrated ability to organize a vast amount of data.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage priorities and appropriately mange time.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external constituents is key to this role.


Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.

Salary Range
$20.15 - $31.26 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
