Pulmonary Research Assistant Professor

The Division of Pulmonary in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa is seeking a Research Assistant Professor. For this position, we seek qualified candidates with research interests in airway epithelial and submucosal gland biology and lung disease and a background in cellular and molecular biology. Additionally, the successful candidate will have an interest/expertise in developing novel cellular/tissue imaging methods and transcriptomic techniques. This is a non-tenure track position, and the appointment length will coincide with available funding. Research track faculty must have their entire salaries covered by external funds.

Candidates must have a PhD degree or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of postdoctoral training. Expertise in bioinformatics/ transcriptomics, airway epithelial cell/submucosal gland biology, and cellular/animals’ models of pulmonary disease is required. Candidates must have demonstrated outstanding abilities in research and teaching and be authorized to work in the U.S. Salary is commensurate to experience.
