Position Description:
Schedule: Monday-Friday Day Shift

Location: Children's of Alabama

Provides psychotherapy services to pediatric outpatients, including individual, group and family psychotherapy.

This role provides patient care on behalf of UAB Medicine at the UAB Pediatric Primary Care Clinic, located one block from Children's of Alabama. The UAB Pediatric Primary Care Clinic features a team that is specially trained to care for patients between birth and the age of 18. The clinic is affiliated with the UAB Department of Pediatrics and Children’s of Alabama hospital. Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required: Masters in Social Work from an accredited school of social work. One (1) year of experience in a counseling and/or therapy position required.   Must adhere to the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics.

Preferred: Psychotherapy experience with children and adolescents preferred

LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:

Required: Currently licensed as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) issued by the Alabama State Board of Social Worker Examiners, or eligible to be licensed within six (6) months from date of hire.
