Job Description Summary:
The University of Kansas Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (KU ADRC) is one of 31 nationally designated centers for AD research. The KU ADRC’s vision is to impact the lives of every patient and family dealing with Alzheimer’s in the region and across the state of Kansas through our research, education, and clinical care with the goal of finding a cure. We are a comprehensive center at the forefront of clinical trials, lifestyle intervention trials, drug and translational research and basic science research. In addition, we provide a wide variety of education and training opportunities for the workforce of tomorrow. Our research enables us to also provide leading edge clinical care and support for patients and caregivers.
The psychometrist will administer and score cognitive measures to study participants in the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) who have mild cognitive impairment, mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease, or who have no memory impairment.
Job Description:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in psychology, basic science or health related field
• Experience may substitute for degree on a year for year basis
• Good interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, time-management skills, strong work ethic, self-motivated, willing to learn
• Computer skills: MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior health care and/or research experience
• Prior experience administering cognitive assessments or psychology background
• Excellent communication, writing, organizational skills
• Ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams including patients, families, physicians and administrative staff
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and databases

Job Responsibilities

• Administer cognitive measures per protocol to study participants in the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) and supported studies who have no memory impairment, mild cognitive impairment, or mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease. Score measures per protocol.
• Enter cognitive data into electronic database; scan and upload study documents.
• Complete all University and study-specific mandatory trainings.
• Other duties as assigned.
