Required Degree: MS required.  PhD preferred in psychology or a related field. The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience:  The Department of Psychology, Brigham Young University, invites applicants of any academic rank to fill part-time positions in the Psychology Department to begin Spring Term 2024, teaching online.  The selected candidate will show commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring.  Our department values diversity, student mentoring, a collegial culture, and the ideals of open and reproducible research.

Duties/Expectations: Selected candidate is expected to have the ability to teach upper- and lower-level undergraduate classes.  Prior experience teaching university classes and mentoring undergraduate students is preferred. This position is to teach Psych 308 (Psychological Statistics) which is an online class. Instructor must be comfortable using the Canvas course management platform. Instructor must understand basic statistics such as descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, effect sizes, confidence intervals, and power. Instructor must be comfortable with the Stata statistical package.
