Summary
This full-time (30-40 hours per week) Psychologist position at the University Center for the Child and the Family (UCCF) offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to UCCF's clinical service and training programs. The successful candidate will play a central role in UCCF’s Psychoeducational and Developmental Assessment services.
Strongest candidates will have clinical and supervisory experience. Particularly, experience in a best practices framework that emphasizes the provision of evidence-based assessment and treatment of youth and families. At UCCF, we value the use of an integrated model that considers cultural context, family values, developmental issues, and family/community systems in the development of tailored approaches to care that value each unique individual within their context.
This position serves as the primary testing supervisor for psychology trainees (at the post-doctoral, intern, and practicum levels). Additionally, this position would involve supervision of therapy services provided by clinical trainees. Therapy cases supervised by this individual would be assigned according to the individual’s area of specialized clinical interest as well as the training plan for the clinical trainee and the needs of our client population. This position would also involve provision of direct assessment services and options for direct therapy services. In particular, we are looking for an individual with substantial experience with Psychoeducational and Developmental Assessments. We also strongly prefer individuals who also have a strong background in treatment of Youth Anxiety and/or Mood concerns.
Responsibilities*
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Testing supervision of psychology post-doctoral fellows, interns, and practicum students and therapy supervision of psychology and social work trainees. Supervision duties include:
- Monitoring clinical care of clients seen by supervisees
- Structuring activities of the supervisee to help ensure the provision of competent services
- Facilitating trainee's professional development
- Providing formative and summative evaluation of the supervisee's clinical work and professional behavior
- Direct services to clients (assessment services required, therapyservices optional)
- Seminar presentations for clinical trainees
- Participation in agency planning
- Engagement in and program development around UCCF's community outreach and collaborative research activities
Required Qualifications*
- Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology or School Psychology
- Full Michigan licensure as a Psychologist (or eligibility)
- Demonstrated training and assessment experience working with children and adolescents
- Teaching/clinical supervisory experience
Desired Qualifications*
- 2-5 years of post-doctoral experience is strongly preferred but we will consider exceptional applicants completing their post-doctoral fellowship by Jan. 2023.
- Experience with telebehavioral health.
- Passion for integrating technology into clinical service and training.
- Experience working with an interdisciplinary team.
- Training and background in addressing issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion in clinical work and/or institutional settings.
Additional Information
MARI is looking for an individual who is willing to make a multiple year commitment to being part of our team. This position is structured as a 12-month, term-limited appointment, which would be anticipated to be extended beyond the 12-month period, barring significant concerns related to job performance or fiscal sustainability.
This position has the potential to be a hybrid split between remote and onsite work. Therefore, the candidate must reside within realistic travel distance to be onsite. The hiring pay range is $85,900 - $94,900, depending on qualifications.
