Summary

The Division of Reproductive Psychiatry within the Baylor College of Medicine Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Texas Children's Hospital's Pavilion for Women is seeking a psychologist with a strong interest in women's mental health to join the Division of Reproductive Psychiatry.

Clinical duties include outpatient psychological evaluation and evidence-based psychotherapeutic treatment of women across the female reproductive life span. This position involves close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of medical specialists within Texas Children's Hospital, including psychiatrists, obstetricians and gynecologists, pediatricians, social workers, nurses, and others.

 

Depending on the candidate's experience, the position could be either assistant professor or associate professor. Academic opportunities include training and supervising psychology interns and participating in research projects. Faculty members participate in the mission of the Baylor College of Medicine: to create knowledge and apply science and discoveries to further education, healthcare, and community service both locally and globally.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program.
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Texas.

 

Preferred qualifications include:

 

  • Completion of an APA-approved clinical pre-doctoral internship.
  • Experience in evidence-based short-term therapy interventions such as CBT, DBT, and IPT.
  • Special interest in women's mental health during reproductive life events such as pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, perinatal loss, and gynecologic conditions.
  • Experience teaching various levels of learners in a medical setting.
