Summary

Baylor College of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics, Psychology Division, has an immediate opening for a full-time Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA).   This position is based in Psychology Services at Texas Children’s Hospital.  Primary responsibilities include administering and scoring neuropsychological and behavioral measures, preparing a table of scores from neuropsychological and behavioral testing, and writing behavioral observations. 

 

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, superior attention to detail; and the ability to establish and maintain effective contact with patients during administration of tests.   Additionally, the ideal candidate will be bilingual in English/Spanish.


Job Duties
  • Ancillary activities: Scoring of psychological, neuropsychological, and developmental tests from patient appointments. Presents findings of evaluations at meeting with fellow clinical staff and faculty. Documenting as appropriate in Epic.
  • Testing appointment setup: Responsible for coordinating testing inventory and common spaces, as well as ensuring proper COVID-19 procedures are being followed. 
  • Conference participation: Participates in parent conferences regarding results of psychological/developmental evaluations.
  • Training:  Works directly with Psychology clinical providers to understand the testing process associated to various measures and protocols. 

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling or related field.
  • No experience required. 
  • Licensure as a Psychological Associate by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
