Summary
Baylor College of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Clinical Psychologist who will support clinical psychology research initiatives, particularly in anxiety treatment outcomes on the clinical research trial, Enhancing Intensive Transdiagnostic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Veterans with PTSD and Anxiety Disorders under the principal investigator, Dr. Ellen Teng, PhD.
Job Duties
- Actively participate in ongoing clinical psychology research projects within the department.
- Assist in the development and growth of a human subject research program by contributing to efforts to secure extramural funding.
- Collaborate in the writing of research proposals aimed at securing funding for various psychology research studies.
- Support oversight of research studies, including involvement in hiring processes, ethics compliance, regulatory requirements, and project deliverables.
- Assist in the dissemination of clinical research findings through presentations, meetings with academic groups, and coordination with advocacy organizations.
- Contribute to training clinical researchers and therapists on procedures, including therapy manuals and experimental tasks.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to research coordinators, students, and volunteers involved in associated research studies.
- Collaborate on the development of participant recruitment and retention strategies for clinical research studies.
- Support the generation of reports and manuscripts related to anxiety treatment outcome research.
- Assist in interpreting data analysis related to anxiety treatment outcome research.
- Participate in grant writing activities to support the acquisition of research funding.
- Maintain an active and valid license as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of Texas, abiding by all regulations, ethical standards, and continuing education requirements established by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists to ensure eligibility and adherence to professional practice.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology
- Previous experience in conducting and overseeing clinical research.
