Summary

Baylor College of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a motivated Clinical Psychologist who will actively engage in clinical psychology research, particularly within anxiety and PTSD treatment outcomes. This selected individual will work specifically on the clinical research trial, Enhancing Intensive Transdiagnostic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Veterans with PTSD and Anxiety Disorders.


Job Duties
  • Engage in cutting-edge research within the department, focusing on anxiety and PTSD treatment outcomes.
  • Build and sustain an active human subject research program by securing extramural funding to advance research initiatives.
  • Write compelling research proposals to secure necessary funding for ongoing and future projects.
  • Supervise all aspects of research studies, including team hiring, ethical considerations, regulatory compliance, and project milestones.
  • Effectively communicate research findings through presentations, academic forums, and collaborations with community groups and advocacy organizations.
  • Provide guidance and training to clinical researchers, therapists, research coordinators, students, and volunteers involved in associated research studies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance participant recruitment and retention in clinical research studies.
  • Produce comprehensive reports and manuscripts related to anxiety and PTSD treatment outcome research.
  • Analyze and interpret data related to anxiety and PTSD treatment outcomes, contributing valuable insights to ongoing studies.
  • Actively participate in grant writing activities to secure funding for research endeavors.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with stakeholders within the Center for Innovative Treatment of Anxiety and Stress (CITRAS) for collaborative clinical research.
  • Develop and implement a measurement-based care approach for anxiety and PTSD treatment programs.
  • Maintain an active and valid Clinical Psychologist license in Texas, adhering to all state regulations, ethical standards, and continuing education requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology
  • Previous experience in conducting and overseeing clinical research.
