Psychiatric Social Worker - REACT Program

Functions as a clinical member of the REACT multidisciplinary team and provides treatment, rehabilitation, and support services.  Provides direct clinical social work services to community psychiatry patients, including: individual, group and family psychotherapy; patient and family education, consultation, facilitates intake evaluation clinics; assists psychiatrists in medication management; and provides some teaching in area of expertise.


Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Masters in Social Work degree from an accredited school of social work.  Must adhere to the  National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics.

Preferred: Adult, child and adolescent mental health experience

LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:
Required:   Currently licensed as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) issued by the Alabama State Board of Social Worker Examiners, or eligible to be licensed within six (6) months from date of hire.

Valid Alabama driver’s license.
