Job Summary | Under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (L.C.S.W.), Psychologist or Psychiatrist, responsible for intergrating counseling services with overall patient care. The Social Worker assists patients in meeting their psychosocial needs to facilitate patient adjustment to treatment, hospitalization or transition into the community after therapy. Multiple positions available on a PRN and part-time basis. Flexible schedule to be determined by applicant. Virtual/remote working environment available. |
Responsibilities | 1. Administers approved counseling which involves social work assessments counseling and/or treatment to patients and others 2. Outreach in the form of information and referrals to community resources including but not limited to transportation, shelter etc. 3. Develops and provides stress management plans for inpatient and outpatient populations . Work Environment and Level of Frequency typically required Nearly Continuously: Office environment. Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking. Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking. Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead. |
Minimum Qualifications | Required Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire. One of the following Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (L.C.S.W.) certificate for clinical practice in the State of Utah. Current license to practice as a Certified Social Worker in the State of Utah. This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. We protect our patients, coworkers and community by requiring all patient-sensitive employees to be immunized according to CDC standards and hospital policy. Limited exemptions may be made for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. Preferences | CSW, ACMHC, AMFT, LCSW, CMHC, and LMFT with substance use assessment and treatment experience or interest. Forensics interest. Master’s Degree level internship |
