Here’s a Glimpse of Day-to-Day and Your Opportunity to Contribute

As a proposal administrator for Sponsored Research Services, you’ll be part of a Pre-Award team and trained in policies and procedures associated with coordinating administrative and financial details between Texas A&M University, researchers, sponsors, and administrative offices. This may include reviewing and interpreting proposal requirements, award terms and conditions, cost sharing requirements, budget requirements, sponsor regulations, deliverable requirements, and System policies. If you’re an experienced Proposal Administrator, your responsibilities could be expanded to include mentoring, training, assisting with policy and procedural development, and assisting with strategic planning. We have multiple opportunities for Proposal Administrators from entry level up to Senior levels.

You may also analyze RFP/bid requirements to ensure both compliance and responsiveness to the customer's issues and needs for the division and agency proposals. You may also collaborate with business development/program personnel to determine detailed program schedules, timelines, project plans, milestones, deliverables, outlines, and scope of work as required as you prepare and assure accuracy, compliance and appropriateness of Agreement and Contract text and attachments. 


The Division

Sponsored Research Services (SRS) was established in 2011 to provide research administration services to The Texas A&M University System in Brazos County, Galveston and Qatar. Housed within the Division of Research at Texas A&M, SRS teams work with stakeholders across the globe to provide efficient and superior expertise and assistance with proposal submissions, negotiation of external contracts, and project administration throughout the life of the award. Qualifications

Varying levels of positions are available depending on qualifications.

Minimum qualifications for an entry-level position include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum qualifications for an advanced level position include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience as well as up to four years of related experience in project management or research administration.


 

A well-qualified candidate would have a bachelor’s degree in business administration and some research administration experience.
