The Department of Population and Public Health Sciences is in search of a dependable, flexible, and detail-oriented Project Specialist to join a research team at the University of Southern California to participate in an ongoing NIH-funded clinical trial that is testing the effects of a specific hormone therapy for postmenopausal women; the trial is testing the effects of hormone therapy on atherosclerosis and cognitive trial outcomes.

Employment involves (1) scheduling trial participants for cognitive testing that is conducted 3 times during the 3-year trial follow-up; (2) conducting the standardized cognitive test protocol; (3) scoring the results of the cognitive tests; (4) entering the cognitive test results into the trial REDCap database; (5) managing and monitoring the cognitive data for data quality; and (6) providing additional support as needed to the trial and the study staff personnel and faculty investigators. There are also opportunities for conducting statistical analyses of trial data. Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills are required .The ideal candidate will have strongorganizational capabilities, superb problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks. Flexible working hours including weekends may be needed.Prior experience in a research environment is preferred. Bachelors degree in a health- or psychology-related field is preferred.

The hourly rate range for this position is $29.40 - $31.00.
