Job Description

Purpose:

The Project Specialist II will provide intermediate project management support for the University Consortium for Applied Hypersonics.



Responsibilities:

  • Review research proposals and budgets and monitor post-award spending on all contracts. Ensures key personnel commitments on all awarded projects have been met and all spending is within the project guidelines.
  • Performs intermediate project development, disseminates project information, and participates actively in project-related work groups. Provides recommendations to achieve project goals.
  • Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates projects and submissions under the consortium.
  • Monitors project budgets and prepares budget revisions as necessary. May manage the budget for small to medium projects or components of large programs under the direction of the unit director.
  • Coordinates project activities, collaborates with project team members, assists in developing measurable project goals and objectives, and monitors progress toward achievement.
  • Prepares documents for key project decisions and collaborates with team members to develop workflows.
  • Writes and disseminates work plans and project documents, including procedures, proposals, progress reports, and presentations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s Degree. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • One year of related experience in project management.
