Position Summary:

The Fiscal Support Analyst is responsible for performing a wide variety of fiscal related tasks that are standard or regular support duties within an assigned unit or program and for researching financial data and preparing reports. The position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepares monthly financial report for the Unit, showing reconciliation of Unit accounts
  • Maintains research/grant files, places orders against various unit accounts; reviews accounts and submits transfers for budget revisions 
  • Prepares and monitors forms on Taleo and monitors graduate assistants hiring via the EPAF process
  • Researches previous years expenditures and projects salaries/expenditures for upcoming year
  • Responsible for budget transfers
  • Responsible for monthly reallocation and reconciliation of unit purchasing card and travel cards
  • Procures equipment, technology, design project supplies, etc. for unit needs
  • Prepares travel forms and arranges travel plans for unit
  • Post job positions and assists with searches
  • Other duties as assigned


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of accounting principles and database management
Knowledge of software applications
Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and policies of assigned section, and customer service techniques
Ability to comprehend and assimilate technical and business-related documents
Ability to apply policies and procedures and other applicable regulations associated with assigned department or program, and conduct research, perform quantitative assurance reviews, and prepare reports


General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

Minimum Qualifications:

An earned Bachelor's Degree in general business, finance, or a related field
One (1) year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field
Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of the qualifications review committee
