Department Description
The Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at UCSF combines superior resident and medical student training with the highest quality of patient care. Beyond our offices, clinics, and laboratories within the 107-acre UCSF Parnassus campus above Golden Gate Park, our Department reaches into the Moffitt Long Hospital, the Ambulatory Care Center, the Medical Center at Mount Zion, and shares UCSF’s partnerships with San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) and the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center (SFVAMC).
The Sound Health Network is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts, in partnership with UCSF, in collaboration with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and Renée Fleming whose mission is to facilitate individual and collaborative efforts that promote the quality, quantity, and relevance of research at the intersections of music, neuroscience, health, and wellness.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
• Skills to learn organization-specific and other computer application programs
• Basic skills to analyze and research information and learn to synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail
• Basic program and project management skills
• Acquiring knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques
• Basic communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality
• Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns
