DESCRIPTION

As a vital member of our team, the Project Policy Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the Online Student Experience (OSE) department under the guidance of the Director of Online Student Experience. The incumbent will spearhead the coordination and support of OSE's multifaceted programs, processes, and procedures, contributing to the overall success of the department. Additionally, the Project Policy Analyst provides essential administrative support to the Vice Chancellor (VCSA) and the Vice Chancellor's Student Affairs Office, aligning efforts with organizational goals and priorities.

Administratively supports the Director of Online Student Experience and the VCSA as needed. Provides project and policy support on various topics while ensuring actions and decisions comply with campus and department policies and procedures as appropriate. Fully analyzes issues and problems, gathers data and information, finds and evaluates alternatives, and makes sound recommendations.

Provides work direction to student assistants and supports programs, events, and external engagements as needed. Determines workload priorities and promptly ensures the accomplishment of objectives when confronted with frequently changing priorities. Daily operations include coordination with IT to resolve technology issues with appropriate campus contacts. Provides fiscal support for OSE, serving as primary liaison with the SRS Business Office on all fiscal, travel, purchasing, personnel, and timekeeping actions and issues.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

  • Knowledge of advanced computer applications and technologies, including web-based technologies, for a variety of uses including database management, and workgroup communication.

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility in dealing with a variety of persons. Skill and ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, by telephone, and in writing. Knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage.

  • Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.

  • Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.

  • Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail. **Demonstrated ability to collect, process, validate and summarize data. Ability to evaluate and establish options, make recommendations, and implement solutions.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to be flexible, yet able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to prioritize workload to meeting shifting deadlines and changing priorities.

  • Ability to analyze issues, information and data, recognize potential impact, identify alternative solutions and make recommendations.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop reports, graphs and charts.

  • Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques. **Ability to interpret and apply University and departmental policies and procedures in various areas.


SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Occasional evenings, weekends and overtime may be required. This position offers the opportunity for remote work flexibility, based on the requirements of the department.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $56,700 - $97,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $27.16 - $46.70
