Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, founded in 1975, is a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center. The Center’s mission is to reduce cancer occurrence and death in North Carolina and the nation through research, treatment, training and outreach.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Multicenter Clinical Trials Operations, this position consults with faculty and community investigators and is responsible for providing oversight of regulatory compliance, patient management, drug accountability, and data integrity under UNC-CH institutional guidelines, affiliate institutions guidelines, Code of Federal Regulations, Good Clinical Practice Parts 50, 54, 56, 312, and 314 for each assigned clinical trial (project). Incumbent will oversee operational aspects and manage affiliated practices in the conduct of LCCC investigator-initiated trials. Responsibilities of this position include comprehensive management of multiple clinical research protocols (projects) for affiliated sites across NC, US, and EU.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Clinical Trials Coordination experience, Case Management experience or Project Management experience required.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Oncology experience and multicenter clinical trial coordination experience preferred. Accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in auditing research data to ensure protocol compliance.
