Position Summary/Description:


This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
The UNC Injury Prevention Research Center (IPRC) is seeking a full-time Injury & Violence Prevention Project Manager to meaningfully contribute to the design, operation, and evaluation of multiple injury and violence prevention projects. This position will be devoted primarily to managing projects that build capacity for practitioners in the fields of road safety, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and harm reduction. This role will be responsible for organizing and implementing training programs with the NC Department of Health and Human Services, the NC Governor's Highway Safety Program, and the NC Association of County Commissioners. The Project Manager will work on multi-disciplinary teams to plan and produce virtual and in-person training programs. 
Occasional travel within North Carolina will be required.
What You'll Do
* Manage various aspects of training and capacity building programs for injury & violence 
prevention professionals across North Carolina, including tracking and updating project budgets, developing meeting agendas, facilitating team meetings, and tracking project progress 
* Build and maintain relationships with program team members and key partners involved in the design and implementation of injury & violence prevention training programs
* Manage project communications, including communications with training program applicants, developing and disseminating program informational and recruitment materials (both digital and print)
* Plan and produce virtual and in-person events including online and in-person training sessions 
* Develop, implement, and evaluate curricula for injury & violence prevention training programs

Education and Experience:


Prior knowledge of or experience in ACEs, road safety, systems thinking, harm reduction, injury and violence prevention science, and/or public health more generally. Experience in building and maintaining partnerships with collaborators, such as government agencies, community organizations, and advocacy groups. Experience programming digital forms/surveys (e.g., Google Forms or Qualtrics). Demonstrated comfort facilitating groups on a wide range of activities and topics. Demonstrated experience managing listservs.
