Position Summary/Purpose of Position: | Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Project Management/Proposal Management and in collaboration with the technical Principal Investigators, the Project Manager III is responsible for ensuring the research and business services activities in the management of research projects at the Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence & Security (ARLIS), a Department of Defense (DoD) University-Affiliated Research Center Laboratories (UARC) are accomplished. The Project Manager III provides proposal management/initial project management support to a portfolio led by Mission Area Coordinators (MACs) and Principal Investigators (PIs) for sponsored research. As a Project Manager III, you will work with the MACs and PIs to plan and direct all proposal management/initial program management administrative activities regarding research projects. Your goal is to help the researcher price requests for proposals including ROMs and RFIs, plan resources wisely, plan how to track initial progress, ensure compliance with university and federal rules and regulations, and remove administrative burden from the PIs. |
