Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of related experience.  Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits.  Grade EF.  Salary commensurate with experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years' experience coordinating marketing and branding efforts including the development of branded materials, website, and other marketing collateral.
  • 3 years' experience identifying, vetting, and growing partner relationships.
  • Experience managing direct reports and/or student teams with favorable results.
  • Experience working out of a remote office
  • Experience working with non/not for profits, developing strong relationships of co-sponsorship and joint activities.
  • Experience with a manufacturing-centric organization such as the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) or similar.
  • Experience in a non/not-for-profit environment
  • Experience within an academic setting
Position Description

Director - Outreach and Partnerships will be part of the management team of the Kentucky Manufacturing Extension Partnership (KMEP). Director will be responsible for KMEP's outreach and managing KMEP's partners, aligning with KMEP strategies. Main activities include the development of marketing, branding, and outreach materials as well as cultivating partner and collaborator relationships through engagements and co-sponsored events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the senior management team to align the KMEP's partner efforts with KMEP's strategies and initiatives.
  • Develop and coordinate KMEP outreach activities including website, brochures, and other marketing pieces.
  • Lead student initiatives in support of KMEP activities.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and manage applicable Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).   
  • Support NIST MEP, UofL, and partner initiatives as they relate to KMEP operations.
