Job Summary

Detail-oriented, organized, personable individual needed to join the Communities Advancing Science for Society (ComPASS) Coordination Center Team as a Project Manager. The ComPASS Coordination Center is a newly funded grant program awarded by the National Institutes of Health. The role of the Drexel ComPASS Coordination Center (C3) is to support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of 25 Community Health Equity Structural Intervention (CHESI) sites across the country. The successful applicant will have outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills. As the Project Manager for the Administrative and Data Cores of the ComPASS Coordinating Center (C3), the primary responsibility of this role is to provide project management support that includes but is not limited to, the job duties listed.

Essential Functions

Project Management responsibilities include:

  • Support the Administrative and Data Core-leads in developing and implementing strategies and workplans to advance the achievement of the C3.
  • Track progress on project milestones and related activities.
  • Schedule and attend Core meetings. Take notes and follow up on action items.
  • Maintain files on Teams and SharePoint and ensure that all necessary files, presentations, recordings, etc. are deposited into team-accessible folders as needed.
  • Track all activities and relevant metrics and support development of progress reports and their submission to NIH.
  • Track all action items and compile and send weekly task lists with appropriate documents and information attached to Core leads as needed.

Administrative Core responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the development and administration of annual surveys of ComPASS consortium members about their collaborations, experiences, and outcomes.
  • Coordinate the development and administration of annual needs assessment surveys of CHESI sites.
  • Manage IRB submissions and renewals.
  • Assist with planning and coordination of annual in-person convening of national ComPASS consortium members.

Data Core Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with developing training workshop criteria on data collection, management, storage, sharing, and security.
  • Assist with planning and coordination of one-on-one technical assistance and coaching sessions.
  • Manage communications and interactions with data core faculty and staff at Drexel, contractors at Mathematica, and external consultants.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • A master's degree in public health or a closely related field is required.
  • 3 years of experience managing complex research projects is required.
  • Candidates must be very detail oriented, extremely organized, and comfortable with multitasking.
  • Candidates must possess excellent oral, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Candidates must be team oriented and experience working with diverse groups.
  • Candidates must be able to work independently.
  • Candidates must demonstrate complex problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Teams and SharePoint are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity and experience with community-engaged approaches to research highly desirable.
  • Experience developing and delivering trainings to adult learners desirable.
  • Prior experience with multi-site or multi-team research and with pertinent research methods (e.g., surveys, qualitative interviews) desirable.

Additional Information

This position is classified as exempt, grade K. Compensation for this grade ranges from a minimum $54,630.00 to the maximum of $81,940.00 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
