About the Role:
The Berklee Global Office seeks a highly collaborative, nimble, proactive, resourceful and effective individual to facilitate the advancement of the strategic and operational priorities of the Berklee Global division. Reporting to the SVP of Berklee Global, this position will serve as a strategic partner in supporting the work of the division by providing project management support as well as conducting research and analysis necessary to advance the projects and initiatives led by Berklee Global.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Strategic Research

  • Drive research efforts for divisional strategic initiatives, with a focus on Berklee's global engagement in the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, and Asia.

  • Collaborate with divisional leaders on the definition and articulation of international strategic objectives.

  • Transform diverse information and conceptual ideas into actionable plans, extracting insights, action items, and decisions.

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and benchmarking exercises to inform strategic decision-making.

Project Management

  • Initiate, manage, and foster cross-divisional collaboration for a diverse range of projects, tracking action items, budget expenditures, and ensuring accountability and timely delivery.

  • Report project progress to the Senior Vice President of Berklee Global.

  • Prioritize strategic initiatives by designing timelines, setting objectives, and ensuring commitment from all involved parties.

  • Operationalize goals, priorities, and objectives for special projects, partnering closely with the leadership team for implementation and execution.

  • Advocate for and allocate necessary resources to execute plans effectively.

Administrative and Operations Support

  • Develop detailed reports and presentation decks for leadership, providing critical insights and recommendations.

  • Assist in crafting agendas and supporting materials for various meetings, including standing committee and board meetings.

  • Coordinate meeting logistics, manage material preparation, and produce accurate meeting minutes.

  • Support the development of new programs and initiatives as needed, contributing to their successful implementation.

  • Undertake additional administrative duties as assigned.

Communications and Marketing Support

  • Collaborate with External Affairs to manage Berklee's digital presence across channels.

  • Assist team members in maintaining updated and on-brand messaging on Berklee Global communication platforms.

  • Manage content creation and curation, website development, email campaigns, social media, and print materials.

  • Ensure consistency and relevance in messaging to enhance Berklee's brand presence.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Flawless communication and writing skills in English and in an additional language (languages preferred: Mandarin, Arabic, Spanish). 

  • 5+ years experience in an international higher education or international performing arts management setting.

  • Excellent organizational and systems skills including financial management, event management and systems creation.

  • Excellent project planning expertise.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • PMP certification preferred, or equivalent experience with project management, including strategic research, planning, implementation, and reporting.

  • Ability to collaborate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated skills managing executive level projects and initiatives.

  • Ability to lead and work effectively in cross-functional teams.

  • Appreciation for working in a creative, inclusive, and diverse community.

  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic and commitment to high quality outcomes.

  • Superb organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment; keen attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent judgment and decision-making.

  • Passion for education, music, and the arts.

  • Exceptional knowledge of all common office application software including word processing, spreadsheets, project management and presentation. 

  • Ability to use graphic design skills to design multimedia (digital and print) materials.

  • Proven experience learning and adapting to new software applications and online productivity tools quickly and fully.

  • Exceptional ability to think both creatively and analytically.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Experience advancing innovative, best practices in higher education.

  • Excellent budgetary management skills.

  • Ability to work in a global environment and adapt to the cultural norms of the countries in which Berklee works.

  • Displays interpersonal skills which lead to effective team collaboration.

  • Sense of humor is a plus!


 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Supervise student employees as needed to carry out office management and administrative tasks as needed. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • This is a hybrid position based out of Madrid or Boston.

  • Occasional travel may be required.
