Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in a related field and five or more years of complex project management experience or work experience that is directly related; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Grade EI.  Salary Commensurate with Experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibilities include development, training, and tracking of performance metrics.
  • 10 years' experience developing, implementing, and delivering operational and improvement activities within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing direct reports.
  • Experience working out of a remote office
  • Direct Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) experience
  • Experience in a non/not-for-profit environment
  • Experience within an academic setting
  • Experience working with third party contractors.
Position Description

Director - Operational and Efficiencies will be part of the management team of the Kentucky Manufacturing Extension Partnership (KMEP). Director will facilitate training standards, developing, and managing the Innovation and Growth team, and working to improve quality, product services and efficiency

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.

  • Work with the senior management team to align the Operational and Efficiencies Platform programming and activities with KMEP's strategies and initiatives.
  • Develop, manage, and grow KMEP's Operational and Efficiencies systems/programs and delivery methods and activities and delivery personnel.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and manage applicable Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) of delivery personnel and KMEP suppliers/contractors for the Operational and Efficiencies Platform.
  • Develop and deliver Operational and Efficiencies Platform content to clients using face-to-face and virtual mediums.
  • Support NIST MEP and UofL initiatives as they relate to KMEP operations.
