Position Summary
Provide project management, facilitation and coordination for a variety of activities in support of IT project, program and portfolio management. Serves as a liaison to other departments.


Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Project coordination to include consulting from initial request to job completion.
  • Understand and document business requirements and existing processes as they relate to technology solutions.
  • Use technical project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques to ensure projects adhere to high quality standards.
  • Assist in developing project plans and schedules.
  • Generate reports regarding project status and facilitates communication efforts.
  • Complies and maintains project documentation and issues log.
  • Coordinates implementation activities across a broad range of functions and departments.
  • Assist in monitoring project schedules and taking corrective action and resolves issues to stay on schedule.
  • Schedule and coordinate requests for IT services across the university from a variety of systems to include faculty/classrooms, administrative, student and outside group requests.
  • Process and verify billing l support/services across the university via a variety of systems.
  • Jira/Planview administrative tasks related to projects.
  • Facilitate project/scrum meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a higher education.
  • Experience in working with development, test, staging and production environments.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and/or experience with Service Now, Planview, Archibus, MS Office Suite and Visio.
  • Strong project management skills, communication, issue/risk escalation, meeting facilitation, cross-functional connectivity and overall university etiquette.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in conjunction with the ability to interact with various levels of management and all levels of resources throughout the company professionally.
  • Excellent meeting facilitation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage many multiple activities and assignments, prioritization skills as well as the ability to escalate appropriately.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service from first contact and beyond.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new circumstances.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible and willing to work extended hours as necessary.
  • Ability to adjust scheduled time.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's plus two years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Range
Base pay is commensurate with experience.

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
