Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

- Responsible for initiating new projects, renewals, and termination of projects within federal reporting system (NRS – NIFA Reporting System), which involves working with researchers and department/station business offices and maintaining all records in Laserfiche.

- Coordinates and maintains records in AgriLife Research Project Records website for over 600 projects, including USDA Hatch, McIntire-Stennis, Multistate, Administrative, Grants, State, Cost share and Internal projects.

- Responsible for overseeing submission of annual reports in NRS. Coordinates with principal investigators and unit administrative staff to ensure timely report submission.

- Assists in dispersing information on Multistate projects from the national program and maintaining all records related to these projects.

- Provides guidance and training to units on Federal reporting system and system reporting requirements and maintains internal databases/spreadsheets.

- Serve as secondary contact for FAMIS and AggieBuy Security and electronic office issues.  Assist with responsibilities related to user management, password maintenance and security files.

- Reconcile and maintain accuracy of various G/L and bank accounts using Trecs software. Research and resolve all discrepancies in the G/L and bank accounts.

- Perform assignments involving the recording, examining, and analyzing of financial transactions, records, documents, or reports.

- Serve as backup to Contract and Grant Reporting and Gift Reporting.

- FAMIS and Laserfiche Security Backup

- Other job-related duties as required.


Required Education and Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education or experience plus an additional four (4) years of related experience in project coordination/administration.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

-Knowledge of standard proofreading.
-Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

-Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
