PROJECT COORDINATOR, Humanitarian Supply Chain Lab (HSCL), Center for Transportation & Logistics, assists research staff in managing the day-to-day operations of various research projects, including supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of program/project plans and prioritizing activities; coordinates with internal and/or external stakeholders to monitor progress against project milestones and communicate any issues to project manager; monitors project progress, scope, and schedule, proactively identifies risks or issues, and suggests solutions to keep projects on track; determines and/or prepares required program/project documentation and reporting; and tracks key program/project metrics.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Social Sciences, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or a related field; two years of experience managing or supporting multiple projects with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment; proficient in quantitative analysis; and excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to engage project sponsors and to present complex quantitative and qualitative data in a clear and compelling manner; be a team player; good communication skills; integrity, strong work ethic, be reliable and responsible, be able to receive and give critical and constructive feedback; be flexible; have self-discipline; demonstrate critical thinking skills; and demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn. PREFERRED: Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing tasks; ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality and deadlines; high level of organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to think critically and adapt quickly to evolving project needs; proficiency in quantitative analysis tools such as Excel, Python, R, or similar; or familiarity with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project).
This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of an extension.
