The Project Associate, Donor Relations, is responsible for assisting and supporting Donor Relations operations within Development. Responsible for coordinating and implementing the strategic support of day-to-day activities of the Donor Relations program while also facilitating other recognition and engagement items. In addition, they will collaborate on a broad range of projects within the department, including, but not limited to, project management, customizing donor correspondence, maintaining donor records, and providing high-level customer service to enhance the overall donor experience. The Project Associate will work closely with other Development staff members to ensure coordination with their respective fundraising efforts and cultivating and stewarding donors to advance the donor pipeline. The candidate needs to have the ability to work autonomously as well as to be able to work seamlessly in a team development environment with many team members across all disciplines and departments of Cedars-Sinai. Under the direction of the Associate Director:

  • Responsible for the organization, execution and day-to-day management of Donor Relations-related programs. This includes the donor benefits program, stewardship and engagement efforts, and donor recognition projects, requiring a high level of customer service, diplomacy, and expertise.

  • Support maintenance of the donor database (Raiser’s Edge) by ensuring that all information for assigned Donor Relations-related areas is kept current and up to date. Use donor database consistently and timely to track Donor Relations activities, such as donor engagement activity, maintaining donor records, stewardship action attributes, etc.
  • Responsible for running and tracking weekly and monthly updates and reports.
  • Responsible for running and tracking regular reports. Assist with creating reports for management in the evaluation of project and program performance or day-to-day operations. May also be responsible for documenting and tracking project compliance.
  • Communicate with other departments, vendors and applicable community parties as needed. Provide coordination of logistics or information as directed.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Donor Relations program budgets; maintain and track all supporting
  • budget/financial files and documents.
  • Follow through on Donor Relations requests from Development Officers. Provide follow-up to donors and prospects, as necessary, based on their need for information and support.
  • Work closely with internal and external partners, Development Officers and other Development leadership to promote internal campaign awareness and support a culture of philanthropy.
  • Provide support to various programs as needed.
  • Complete in a timely and organized manner other duties and projects as assigned.

High school diploma or GED required.

A minimum of 3 years' experience of progressively responsible administrative or strategic support experience is required.
