Project Associate for Operations, School of Nursing

The School of Nursing is searching for a Project Associate for Operations. Reporting to the School’s Chief of Staff, this position will play a primary role in tracking and advancing school-wide workflows and supporting Dean’s Office initiatives. 

More specifically, this role will contribute to organizational success by: 

  • Coordinating Dean’s Office operations through executing core administrative functions, staffing central committees, and maintaining standard operating procedures (35%). 

  • Providing project management support for select school-wide initiatives, including components of school strategic plan implementation (30%). 

  • Serving as the primary user of the school’s workload and course planning database and developing reports from the database that help faculty leaders make data-informed decisions. Serving as the primary collaborator with the IT team to maximize database accuracy, accessible, and operational impact (25%). 

  • Managing essential parts of the school’s communication structure—in close partnership with the communication and marketing team—including maintaining polished and accurate information on school distribution lists, select websites, and in other high-visibility areas (10%). 

The successful candidate must be an effective written and verbal communicator, adaptable, and detail oriented. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 

  • At least two years of related work experience 

  • Experience tracking and coordinating projects and handling scheduling, calendar management, meeting planning, and correspondence. 

  • Excellent writing, spelling, grammar, proofreading, and strong verbal communication and customer service skills. 

  • Proficiency in using standard workplace software (ex. Microsoft Office products) as well as willingness to learn specialized software like a project management platform (ex. Trello or Asana) and the school’s in-house workload and course planning database. 

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task efficiently, and respond to a high volume of ongoing requests in a timely fashion. 

Selected candidates will be required to complete all required background checks prior to the first day of employment.

Compensation:

The Anticipated Hiring Range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000. This is a full-time position with UVA benefits . Employee benefits package highlights include:
