Assists the advising team and departmental leadership with organizing and controlling project activities through communicating barriers, opportunities and the current state of the project. This role assumes project planning activities for advising and the department including settling workflows, responsibilities, and milestones. These activities can include researching emerging technologies, collecting and maintaining data, coming up with recommendations to present to the advising team and departmental leaderships as well as documenting current processes. This role is responsible for the collection and organization of all project deliverables in a single repository. The incumbent will also fulfill obligations by coordinating meetings, resources, and information. The individual in this role will be available to support project management issues, take meeting minutes and help with status reporting. Responsible for keeping abreast of changes in educational technology, working with Steinhardt Educational IT, 2U (our educational technology partner), and independent resources as needed to implement changes and programmatic enhancements.



Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree specialization in Business, Data Analysis, Project Management, Educational Technology, or related field
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent for specialization in Business, Data Analysis, Project Management, Educational Technology, or related field
Required Experience:
2+ years experience working in project management. Experience working on IT/IS projects/programs. Experience working with, organizing, and analyzing large data sets.
Preferred Experience:
2+ years in a Project Coordinator or Manager role running multiple projects, experience with User Design and/or background in Academic Technology or project management. Knowledge of formal project management methodologies.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written language skills. Project planning ability. Must demonstrate an ability to analyze and present information. Must have a high degree of computer literacy including advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite, google Office, and Adobe Suite along with a willingness and skill to learn new programs quickly.
