University Information & Technology Services 

A professional position in the application development and support team within Enterprise Software. Provides programming support for the Ellucian Banner student records system. Responsible for the assistance of project management of Enterprise Software related projects. Responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining complex web-based and computer-based administrative information systems across multiple platforms serving all areas of the university. Reports to the Manager of Enterprise Software Applications.

Responsibilities include the design, development, and support of databases, forms and reports designed against them, and their integration with web-based software systems in a multiple operating system client/server environment.; Serves as the primary for the Learning Management Administrator (LMS) support ¿ works hand-in-hand with the university¿s LMS department to administer the LMS platform, responsible for Banner extracts, Banner testing of LMS upgrades, troubleshooting issues and providing functional support to faculty, students and staff, etc.; Responsible for assisting with project management (major and minor projects) Enterprise Software related projects to include planning, organizing, etc.; Perform the maintenance and upkeep of existing and new systems as required including periodic upgrades and patches, to include some system administration functions.; Program, test, debug, document, implement and provide post-implementation support for application development, program enhancement, and/or third-party software implementation and integration initiatives which directly or indirectly interface with the Ellucian Banner student records system.; Meet with representatives of other departments to determine systems and programming needs and identify possible solutions.; Responsible for the integration of functional systems with each other and with the campus systems to insure consistent and accurate data analysis and reporting.; Write and maintain functional and technical documentation specifications.; Perform test of data sets to ensure all components of the system meet specifications.; Analyze code for problem resolution and performance optimization.; Perform other departmental duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications include BS in Computer Science and/or 2 years of programming experience.

Preferred Qualifications include Oracle Forms and Reports, Ellucian Banner Student System, Ellucian Banner Workflow, Learning Management System (LMS), Argos Reporting Solution, SQL Navigator, Toad, or similar, Web Portal or similar, Web Technologies including Apache/IIS/TomCat, Java script, ASP/JSP, JEE, SSL, Web Service, Experience working in information technology in a university environment.

The proposed annualized salary range for this position is $50,503- $55,441 and includes full benefits. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include Knowledge of Oracle 19c (or higher) or similar relational database.; Experience with PL/SQL, MYSQL, SQL PLUS, or similar structured query language. ; Knowledge of Oracle APEX, Java, JavaScript, C#, C++, PHP, or similar high-level object-oriented programming languages.; Unix ¿ HP/UX, and/or Linux.; Work logically though problems and develop optimal solutions.; Excellent oral and written communication skills.; Work cooperatively and effectively with others.; Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.; Demonstrates commitment to excellent customer service.
