Are you a skilled programmer with a passion for innovation? We're searching for a talented individual to join our team at CARES within University of Missouri (MU) Extension and Engagement. What You'll Do: As a Programmer Analyst at CARES, your role will be at the heart of our mission. Here's a glimpse of your responsibilities: 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts across Missouri and the nation to develop in-house software applications and web-based tools that support a wide range of topics and objectives. 
  • Web Focus: Work on supporting a variety of web-based applications supporting data visualization and reporting tool, but also tackle related programming tasks as needed. 
  • Independent and Teamwork: While you may work independently, you'll often collaborate with other CARES staff to complete tasks for sponsored projects. 
  • Cutting-Edge Technology: Get the opportunity to develop applications using WordPress with MySQL and SQL Server backends. Knowledge of Python, C#, JavaScript, PHP, HTML, and ESRI products is highly desirable. 
  • Accessibility and Compliance: Play a key role in enhancing the accessibility of our software applications and web-based tools.

Key Responsibilities: As a successful candidate, you will: 

  • Develop web-based tools and informational pages for specific projects. 
  • Support web-based content management and evolve and maintain Web API and REST APIs. 
  • Collaborate on data visualization projects. 
  • Work with on- and off-campus collaborators to demonstrate and review project-related programming. 
  • Report to CARES management staff.
