The Utah Center for Genetic Discovery (UCGD) Core Facility seeks a Senior Programmer Analyst with background and experience in immunological transcriptomics, genetics, metabolomics, and metagenomics analyses. The UCGD Core helps investigate the genetic basis for human disease by providing whole exome and whole genome sequence analyses for research and clinical projects (https://ucgd.genetics.utah.edu ). We are currently expanding our service offerings to include immunomic, metabolomic, and metagenomics related analyses such as bulk RNA-seq, single cell RNA-seq, and interpretation of genomic data coming from DNA-seq/CRISPR screens. The successful candidate will join the UCGD Core and will work with 3i leadership and the UCGD Core team to design and implement a suite of genomics services to facilitate immunology research. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will be comfortable taking on significant responsibilities including determining the direction and content of analysis workflows, identifying existing software tools to use for new service offerings, and deciding when to focus resources on new tool development. The selected individual will also need to manage projects and collaborations between the UCGD Core and investigators that use its services. There will be ample opportunity for research publication in this position both from the development of new analysis workflows as well through collaboration with other researchers at the University of Utah. |
