Friends University is seeking to fill a Programmer/Analyst position in Wichita Kansas. This position supports the overall information system needs of the University, but focuses on the delivery, maintenance, and enhancement of the university ERP system, Ellucian Banner®.  The incumbent combines software development and business analyst skills to assist end-users with data analysis, reporting, administration of one or more ERP system modules and related applications.  May lead or assist with the installation, documentation, upgrade, and modification of in-house or vendor-developed computer programs, reports, software applications and enterprise-class information systems according to industry best practices.  Routinely interacts with staff, faculty, and students to solve problems and determine appropriate courses of action, including training.  Participates in assuring that systems and data are secure and in compliance with industry standards.  Shares knowledge with Administrative Computing personnel as needed to ensure continuity of support.

One year’s experience in application development with a relational database is required.  Oracle database experience is preferred. Skills in SQL, PL/SQL, Java, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and report writing are highly desired.  Data visualization and Linux/UNIX server experience desired.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, business administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are required.

Higher education and one-year Ellucian Banner ERP experience preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office products.  Ability to operate computer equipment and software including word-processing, spreadsheets and internal databases for record keeping and communication purposes. Working knowledge of all office equipment, including, but not limited to, personal computer, copier, fax machine and telephone.

Salary range depending on experience - $42k - $46k
