Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities
*Must have transportation to the off-campus site *
Flexible work hours:
Hours of program operation are from 2:30 – 5:30 M – F
Work with student(s) on homework assignments and projects
· Make learning fun and interesting
· Gently encourage good study habits at each session
· Encourage reading aloud
· Provide support and positive reinforcement
· Utilize available low and high-tech teaching tools like whiteboards, web-sites, games etc.
· Seek help and guidance from the program coordinator when needed
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
· Future teacher, coach or lion tamer
· Patience
· Verbal and written communication skills
· Must be comfortable working with young children
· Not put off by repetitive drills, questions and mini tantrums
· Excited about working with groups of rowdy kids
· Eager to track and record individual growth
· Must be able to adapt to change and innovate in real time
