Job Summary: The Athletic Academic Program Support Assistant works under the supervision of the Assistant Athletics Director of Academic Programs and the Deputy Director of Student Services. Provides an opportunity for a post-baccalaureate individual to gain experience in athletic academic services by supporting one of the following units within Athletic Student Services: Advising, Tutorial Support, or Learning Support.


Additional Department Summary: The Academic Program Support Assistant monitors and reports study hall. Tracks class attendance. Supports tutoring, learning services, and other administrative duties. Additional duties include special projects assigned requiring data collection and reporting.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Must be a UA Graduate student.


Skills and Knowledge: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High attention level for detail. Computer software applications skills to develop written reports. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse educational, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Ability to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends.


Enrollment Requirements: Applicants must meet enrollment requirements to be eligible for on-campus student employment. Applicants must be enrolled in a UA degree program and meet minimum credit hour requirements during the academic year: Undergraduate Students must be registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; Graduate Students must be registered for at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; International Students must be registered full-time (Undergraduate = 12 credit hours, Graduate = 9 credit hours) during fall/spring semesters. Enrollment requirements must be maintained for the duration of on-campus employment. Individual hiring departments and programs may also have additional eligibility requirements for employment.
