Job Description

The Program Specialist III will coordinate the implementation of programs in the Education Achievement (EA) office including the current NSF-funded TAMUS LSAMP SPRA program. Co-coordinate implementation of research, assessment, evaluation efforts and reporting for programs. Oversee the fiscal management for the LSAMP SPRA project and provide support for educational programs and strategy leaders on this and other TAMUS campuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the implementation of programs in the Education Achievement (EA) office including the current NSF-funded Texas A&M University System Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (TAMUS LSAMP) SPRA program with partner institutions (Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, Prairie View A&M University, and Texas A&M International University). Co-coordinate the implementation of research, assessment, and evaluation efforts and reporting for TAMUS LSAMP and for other projects of the Education Achievement (EA) office, as well as co-facilitate group planning and action and support educational programs and strategy leaders on this and other TAMUS campuses. Assist with proposals that seek support of programs and future modifications and expansions of the TAMUS LSAMP program.
  • Internal Assessment related to federally funded sponsored projects. Lead preparation of Research.gov/Fastlane annual and final reports and other internal reports as needed. Support data collection related to federally funded sponsored projects. Support development of reports and presentations for publication and dissemination. Supervise support process for evaluation efforts.
  • Assist with annual budgetary and contract processes in collaboration with TEES and partner institutions. Assist with preparation and renewal of research compliance materials. Supervise 1 staff, 1-2 graduate or undergraduate students workers. Provide periodic reports to the EA leadership.
  • Oversee review and submission process for voucher payment, ensuring appropriate documentation is attached.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience:

  • Three years of related experience.

Preferred Education:

  • Prefer master's degree in relevant field.

Registrations, Certifications, and Licenses:

  • Proposal writing and presentation skills preferred.
