Job Description

Coordinate activities and events for the Women in Engineering (WE) program, an advanced professional program targeting women and historically underrepresented students. Serve as a resource to prospective and current students, parents, and the general public. Represent WE and the College of Engineering at internal and external (local, regional, state) events or meetings. Responsible for data and budget tracking.

Provide advanced professional level support for Women in Engineering Program. Work with key faculty, staff and/or administrative personnel for specified programs; plan and develop specialized programs to meet program goals and achieve college-level goals to target traditionally underrepresented populations in engineering.  Responsible for all event planning, coordination and logistics for workshops, meetings, conferences, travel, yield and retention events.  Facilitate activities and responsible for all volunteer management to ensure program success.  The Women in Engineering (WE) program is advanced professional program targeting women and historically underrepresented students. This position serves as a resource to prospective and current students, parents, and the public.  Represent WE and the College of Engineering at internal and local events or meetings. Responsible for data and budget tracking.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all events planning and logistics for Women in Engineering program workshops, meetings, conferences, yield and retention events. 
  • Develop and maintain program relationships with faculty, staff, students, educators, and other supporters.
  • Maintain program records and compile program data for tracking and analysis. 
  • Write weekly summary reports. 
  • Serve as key contact to support and grow WE recruitment and retention programs including, WE Ambassadors, WE Global Program, WE Consortium, WE L.L.P. and WE project teams. 
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience:

  • Three years of related experience.

Preferred Education:

  • Engineering Degree or STEM background. Master's degree preferred.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous Women in Engineering program experience.
  • Knowledge of supporting research, and/or work with inclusion programs targeting diversity/underrepresented, low SES, or first generation populations.
  • Knowledge of Texas A&M system and processes.
