The Program Specialist II, under general supervision, performs specialist duties for the Nuclear Engineering Science Center (NESC) with primary responsibility to the Nuclear Power Institute (NPI) K-12 Programs.
Responsibilities:
- Provides advanced professional level administrative support to Associate Director.
- Assists with planning, development, implementation and coordination of activities related to K-12 program.
- Coordinates specialized program communications and marketing materials, including managing NESC/NPI social media posting, creation, updating, ad campaigns, website creation, management and maintenance.
- Coordinates, creates and manages, newsletters, stories, articles, and news posts.
- Assists in the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines. Assists in the preparation and maintenance of budgets, special reports, and other documents.
- Attends meetings and conferences to discuss the progress of the program
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience:
- Two years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Google Docs, word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, and web applications.
- Knowledge of current Texas K-12 issues, topics, and practices.
- Knowledge and confidence in current, trending social media platforms.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.
- Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.
