Job Description

The Program Specialist II, under general supervision, will provide administrative support to senior capstone design project coordinator and will coordinate outreach efforts in the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with efforts to seek sponsorship for senior capstone projects.  
  • Provides administrative support to senior capstone design project program.
  • Will interface and serve as a liaison with industry partners.
  • Coordinates and secures proper NDA agreements when needed.
  • Will work with faculty and students organizations to coordinate outreach activities in the department to K-12 students or community partners.
  • Assists department with events where senior design projects are showcased (e.g., IAC meetings, Dean’s visits, etc.)
  • Will coordinate with Engineering Communications staff to promote related activities on social media and the website.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience:

  • Two years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills. Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.
