Program Specialist: Business and Community

This individual will work closely with the Director by coordinating and eventually overseeing the Center’s business and community programs.   Specifically, the individual will work with the Director to implement buisness programs, development activities for the Center, board and fund development, maintaining the Center database and website, updating social networking sites, report generation, and attendance at most CBE Center for Leadership meetings/events.  This person will also perform other duties as needed for the betterment of the Center.    

Essential Duties

70% - CENTER BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMS 

  • Serve as the liaison between business clients and faculty consultants
  • Support development of clients in collaboration with Director
  • Administer invoices and faculty consulting forms for all Center consulting activities 
  • Coordinate drafting of proposals and contracts with clients
  • Assist in branding materials required for Center’s business initiatives
 
20% - BOARD AND FUND DEVELOPMENT
  • Work with the Director on ongoing Board Development
  • Schedule Meetings between Director and Board Members
  • Work with College Development staff as needed
  • Manage the Leadership Scholars Alumni Board
 
10% - CENTER CORPORATE RELATIONS 
  • Coordinate Center’s newsletter and other key communications to Center’s board and community
  • Update website, and other administrative details for the Center
  • Maintain and Regularly Post on LinkedIn and other Social Media Platforms for the Center 
  • Coordinate with the Graphic Designer to update/maintain Marketing Materials
  • Promotes an inclusive environment of teamwork and leads to ensure Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is practiced/applied in department operations, programs, and services

Qualifications

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and positive professional demeanor
  • Must be able to multi-task and work well in a team
  • Good oral and written communication skills is required
  • Strong customer service skills are required 
  • Technical skills in web management, MS Office, MS Excel is required
  • Ability to promote and prioritize Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Some experience in not-for-profit or fundraising environments is preferred
  • Some experience in consulting or business services environment is preferred
  • Some experience in design software and social media is preferred
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision; a self-starter is preferred
