Responsibilities
The mission of the UCLA Tarjan Center, University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities is to advance the self-determination, inclusion, and quality of life among the diversity of people with disabilities and their families. We accomplish our mission through collaborative leadership in training, community education, research, service, and information sharing.
The Program Representative plays a critical role in assisting the Center with new projects related to the postsecondary education and employment (e.g., work on the Department of Rehabilitation project training rehabilitation counselors on employment readiness) and the National Arts and Disability Center. The role is new to the center as we are about to receive two new contracts that will focus on employment and postsecondary education and we do not have the staff to carry out this work at this time.
