MEDEX has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Operations Manager.  MEDEX Northwest is the Physician Assistant Program at the University of Washington and is a section of the Department of Family Medicine in the School of Medicine.  MEDEX has five campuses located at UW Seattle, UW Tacoma, Gonzaga University in Spokane, the University of Alaska, Anchorage, and Kona, Hawaii.

Using extensive knowledge of the MEDEX didactic program, and in collaboration with the Associate Program Director of Academic Affairs, the Manager of Didactic Program Operations exercises substantial responsibility for directing all operations of MEDEX didactic and graduate programs. Ensures adherence to didactic curriculum, course requirements, and program policy at five remote MEDEX campuses (Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane, Anchorage, and Kona) by supervising the delivery of didactic activities by the campus program staff. Using knowledge of individual campus resources and desired overall program outcomes, create and implement course administration policy; communicates policy and administration instructions to program assistants in a manner that ensures educational consistency across campuses. Reviews established curriculum delivery policy for effectiveness and consistency between the four campuses. Oversees consistency and adherence to policy, the recording of official grades, assignments and professionalism issues in the MEDEX student database. Provides guidance and supervision to program assistants on complex and confidential situations with students or faculty. Serves Associate Program Director of Academic Affairs as liaison with site staff, providing evaluation of the consistency and functionality between sites. Serves as liaison between site program staff and other MEDEX units, recommending actions to facilitate smooth interdepartmental communications and workflows. The Manager of Didactic Operations is integral in ensuring that the MEDEX didactic curriculum and program meet the compliance and accreditation standards of the ARC-PA and university regulations along with program leadership.

Supervision

The Manager of Didactic Operations reports to the Associate Program Director of Academic Affairs and to the Associate Director, MEDEX Administration. This position also indirectly works under the general supervision of the Program Director.
