Job Description

The Program Manager, under direction, plans, organizes, directs, and manages day-to-day activities, developing and implementing procedures for the administration of College of Engineering Events.

Oversee the management of a team of event planners, execute all events as directed by the Vice Chancellor and Dean, and assist the Director of Donor Relations & Events in the implementation and maintenance of the events management system including policies, procedures, and recommendations for the system and event standards for Texas A&M Engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of a team of event planners (four direct reports).
  • Execute all events operating within the events management system. Serves as lead coordinator on high profile and VIP events.
  • Oversee the Zachry Engineering Education Complex and the Center for Infrastructure Renewal event spaces and meeting spaces including maintaining the reservation system, policies and procedures.
  • Represent Texas A&M Engineering to event vendors and service providers and negotiate partnerships as needed.
  • Assist the Director of Donor Relations & Events in the implementation and maintenance of the events management system including policies, procedures, and recommendations for the system and event standards for Texas A&M Engineering.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience:

  • Five years of related experience.
