| Posting Text | SDSU Extension and South Dakota 4-H is offering an exciting career as a Program Manager – Regional Youth Educator. This position will work with county programs in their assigned region to provide 4-H program and policy supervision as well as direct education in support of outreach and older youth retention initiatives. This includes working with county-hired extension staff, county government, and other stakeholders. This position will also develop and support state-wide 4-H programs as a member of the South Dakota 4-H State Staff. This position has the option of being located in Pierre, SD; Lemmon, SD; Rapid City, SD; or Winner, SD. It is a 12 month, full-time, benefits-eligible position. South Dakota 4-H, a program of South Dakota State University (SDSU) Extension, is a community that provides experiences where young people learn by doing. Youth complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and citizenship, in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. Youth experience 4‑H through in-school and after-school programs, school and community clubs, and 4‑H camps. We recognize that the youth of today are our future leaders and what they learn and experience in 4-H will help them develop into contributing citizens who will give back to their communities in the future. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide timely 4-H Youth Development research based education resources, leadership and support to meet the needs of youth while building relationships to enhance and carry out the mission of SDSU Extension.
