What we want
The Program Manager of LEEP (Learning Environment Enrichment Program), under direction, plans, organizes, directs, and manages day-to-day activities, developing and implementing procedures for the administration of the LEEP program in the School of Medicine. This role works to increase awareness of exemplary and concerning behavior within the School of Medicine. The position promotes wellbeing programs for faculty and staff in the School of Medicine.

Other Requirements and Factors:  Ability to travel as needed; occasional evening and weekend work required.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Five years of related experience in program coordination or management

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentations

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills

  • Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to prioritize objectives with a high level of discretion and independent judgement and initiative Experience with engaging, and building collaborative relationships with, participant groups

  • Experience in Higher Education

Responsibilities:

  • LEEP Program Management  - Plans, organizes, directs and manages day-to-day activities, developing and implementing procedures for the administration of the program. Supervises program support staff and student assistants. Manages yearly budgetary and contract processes. Develops strategic plans and goals to support the LEEP program. Assists with developing co-curricular educational sessions that promote a positive learning environment, including production of materials designed for the program. Coordinates co-curricular activities that promote the Aggie Core Values and stakeholder interaction. Develops and conducts programs including trainings, conferences, seminars and Cup of Coffee peer messenger workshops in collaboration with the office of professional development

  • LEEP Database Management and Assessment - Oversees databases (e.g., report, peer messengers) as well as documents the flow of reports through the awareness system. Utilizes assessment data on the learning environment to enhance the LEEP. Collaborates with the Office of Evaluation and Assessment (OEA) to compile pertinent information for summary reports (e.g. quarterly) and monthly meetings. Collaborates with the Office of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) to compile pertinent information for LCME reporting and compliance. Works with the Aggie Way program at Texas A&M University to collaborate with their efforts and interfaces with pertinent departments and stakeholder representatives to coordinate assessment of such aspects as, but not limited to, impact, efficacy, and needs of the learning environment.

  • LEEP Program Communication - Coordinates with the marketing and communications team to implement, evaluate, and refine the LEEP communications action plan within the School of Medicine community. Develops and disseminates promotional content.Interacts with various stakeholder populations (e.g., students, staff, faculty) to facilitate awareness of the program.

  • Wellness - Serves as the liaison with Living Well at TAMU to promote awareness of resources for the School of Medicine. Coordinates with School of Medicine Wellness Leaders to enhance the well-being of faculty and staff of the School of Medicine. Performs other duties as assigned.
